What are system messages?

Modified on Tue, 9 Dec at 11:58 AM

System messages are automatic notifications that Whiskybase sends to keep you updated about your activity on the platform. These messages appear in your inbox to let you know when something you submitted or followed has changed.

You may receive system messages when:

• A bottle you submitted is reviewed
• A photo you uploaded is checked
• You suggest changes to a bottle, brand, or distillery and they are reviewed
• You report a shoplink (a link to a shop selling a whisky) that is broken or incorrect
• You place a bid on a bottle in the Marketplace and its status changes

You get a message from a Marketplace seller/buyer

• A new message needs your attention in a Marketplace order page
• A bottle on your Wishlist becomes available in the Marketplace
• Price Alerts (for Whiskybase Plus members) notify you when a bottle appears in a shop that matches your alert settings

System messages are automatically deleted after 90 days to help keep the platform fast.
If you want to keep one, take a screenshot before it disappears.
