What are sponsored listings?

Modified on Tue, 14 Oct at 5:14 PM

Our Sponsored Listings program is designed for shops that want their listings to appear at the top, above all free listings. This increases visibility, drives sales, and ensures you're discovered by all users on Whiskybase.

Because free listings are only visible to logged-in members, your shop isn't being seen by the 80% of Whiskybase visitors who aren't logged in. That means your bottles may not appear at all, even if your price is better! For non-logged-in users, only sponsored listings will be displayed, as seen in the image below:

Note: The order of appearance for sponsored listings shuffles automatically every time a user opens the page.

These are the key differences between Free and Sponsored Listings:

FREE LISTINGSSPONSORED LISTINGS
  • Any registered shop or member can add a free listing on Whiskybase
  • Free listings are ONLY shown to logged-in members
  • Free listings appear below sponsored listings
  • Only subscribed Sponsored Retailers can have sponsored listings
  • Sponsored listings are shown to ALL USERS (both logged-in and non-logged-in)
  • Sponsored Listings appear on top of free listings

We take care of your Sponsored Listings. Each month, we'll send you a report detailing your impressions, customer referrals, and additional insights. All of this is designed to help your whisky business succeed.

Managing thousands of bottles takes time. Ready to free up hours and improve sales? While manual listings work for small shops, processing your entire inventory on Whiskybase can be a massive drain.

Our Automated Listings program is built for high volume, cutting out the tedious work so you can focus on sales. Learn more about Automated Listings here.
