Why is my account disabled?

Modified on Tue, 9 Dec at 11:52 AM

We want Whiskybase to feel safe, friendly and enjoyable for every member. In some situations, an account may be disabled when certain activity does not follow our guidelines or the general terms

Reasons an account may be disabled

1. Unfriendly or intrusive behavior

All members should feel respected. Bullying, spamming or contacting other members without their consent can be experienced as intrusive.

Manipulating reviews or using the review section of a bottle to target members or companies with bad intentions is also not allowed.

2. Not following Marketplace terms

When you register as a buyer or seller, you agree to the Marketplace general terms. Activity that goes against these terms can lead to your account being disabled.

Read more about the Whiskybase marketplace rules and good practices.

3. Offering bottles outside the Marketplace

You may contact members privately to buy or sell bottles except when those bottles are already listed on the Marketplace. Trying to bypass the Marketplace for active listings will lead to account removal.

Everything else is welcome

Outside of the points above, you are free to discuss, connect and contribute to Whiskybase in the way you prefer.

If you believe your account has been disabled by mistake, please contact our team so we can look into it with you.
