Sometimes you might see an error message when trying to buy or sell on the Marketplace. These are the most common ones and how to solve them.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
1. Message: “Your buyers rating is too low”
When you try to order a bottle, you may see the message “Your buyers rating is too low.” This means you cannot place the order with that seller.
This often happens with new users who have not built up a buyers rating yet. Some sellers choose to sell only to buyers who have reached a minimum rating that they set themselves.
To buy from these sellers, you’ll need to build a positive buyers reputation.
Start by ordering from sellers without rating restrictions and make sure every transaction goes smoothly. Once you receive a few positive ratings, your buyer reputation will improve and you’ll be able to order from more sellers.

2. Error when linking your PayPal account
If you see an error when trying to link your PayPal account, it usually means your PayPal account hasn’t been verified yet.
Even if the account has been created and connected, it must be verified by PayPal before it can be used for payouts. Until then, your Whiskybase seller account is not fully active for selling.
Once your PayPal verification is complete, we can activate your Whiskybase seller account.
If you’re unsure how to verify your PayPal account, check PayPal’s help resources or contact their customer service directly for step-by-step instructions.
