The Whiskybase Marketplace is built on trust, respect, and fair trading between whisky enthusiasts. Following these rules helps keep the Market safe and enjoyable for everyone.


Please be aware that if we see activity that goes against these rules or our General Terms and Conditions, we can deactivate, suspend or terminate a Marketplace account at any time. This includes situations where a user does not act in good faith, does not follow the Marketplace rules, trades outside the Service, manipulates prices or reviews, or causes harm to other users or to the Service in any way. 1. Act in good faith

Every buyer and seller on the Marketplace is expected to act honestly and to the best of their knowledge.

2. Marketplace fees

Whiskybase receives a small fee of 5 to 8% of the bottle’s sale price. This commission helps maintain and improve the Marketplace.


Additional fees may apply if you use PayPal for payment.

3. Offer only genuine bottles

Only list bottles if you are certain that both the bottle and its contents are authentic. All bottles must have their original seal.

4. Dispute handling

The Whiskybase Marketplace team helps arbitrate disputes between buyers and sellers when needed. Decisions may include payment outcomes or refunds for extra costs.

5. Send the bottle promptly

Once payment is received, the seller should ship the parcel as soon as possible and keep the buyer updated through the order page chat.

6. Package responsibly

Use proper packaging that protects the bottle from damage. Always follow the rules and guidelines of your shipping company to ensure the parcel is insured.

7. Confirm receipt quickly

The buyer must confirm the arrival of the parcel and accept or decline the order as soon as possible after receiving it.

8. When something is wrong

If the order does not meet expectations, for example if it is the wrong bottle, damaged, or not as described, the buyer may cancel the transaction within seven days after delivery.


If the parcel has already been received, it must be returned registered and insured, at the buyer’s own expense, as soon as possible.

Whisky lovers are known for their good manners. Always communicate clearly, politely, and with respect for the other person.
